Over the last twenty years or so Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) has swept the western world, and is now the lead recommended therapy for a majority of mental disorders. This is thanks to its immensely strong evidence base founded on firm science of learning theory and reinforced by numerous clinical trials. Many people have now heard about CBT.

But therapy is about change. So is management. So why not use the tools and techniques of CBT in management training ? Why has this not been done ?

The answer is that there are very few people with experience in both business consulting and CBT. But we in Tetes-a-tetes have exactly that background.

The idea is not that that managers need therapy for some reason ! It is simply that CBT is a toolset for change and so many of these tools have wide applicability outside the clinic.
